Overview

Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel. Author of 'Fer-de-Lance' (1986) — briefing on Soviet scalar electromagnetic weapons. October 1984: Roy Brewer briefed President Reagan about scalar EM weapons at Bearden's request, then briefed the National Security Council. Reagan ordered his Defense Secretary to take action three times — but the Intelligence Community didn't believe it and opposed action. CIA document exists: CIA-RDP96-00788R001900680014-4 ('STAR WARS NOW! THE BOHM-AHARONOV EFFECT, SCALAR INTERFEROMETRY, AND SOVIET WEAPONIZATION', April 24, 1984). Bearden claimed Soviet 'energetics' program created 'globes and domes of light' (spherical plasma forms) over the Pacific and deep within the USSR — seen by airliner pilots. US detected at least 78 such tests since 1974. ASSESSMENT: Bearden's 'scalar EM' theory is NOT accepted by mainstream physics. However, he was a real Army Lt. Col. with security clearance, he did brief Reagan and the NSC, and the underlying observations (Soviet plasma weapons tests) are independently confirmed by FBIS translations and Russian patents. His EXPLANATION may be wrong, but the OBSERVATIONS may be correct.
