This site is an independent research archive that analyzes declassified government documents to reconstruct the history of a classified fusion energy and propulsion program. Fusion is the process that powers the sun: smashing light atoms together so hard they merge into heavier atoms, releasing enormous energy. To do this on Earth, you need to heat hydrogen gas to millions of degrees until it becomes a plasma (a super-hot gas where electrons are stripped from nuclei), then contain that plasma long enough for fusion reactions to occur. The challenge is that no physical container can hold plasma at those temperatures — so scientists use magnetic fields to trap it. A Field-Reversed Configuration (FRC) is one way to do this compactly.

We trace reported UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) characteristics back to specific, verifiable research programs in fusion physics. The reported extreme acceleration, lack of visible propulsion, and radiation signatures are consistent with what a compact fusion reactor would produce. We do not invoke extra-terrestrial hypotheses unless explicitly cited in source documents.

FRC (Field-Reversed Configuration) is the plasma physics concept — a way to contain super-hot plasma using magnetic fields. MTF (Magnetized Target Fusion) is the engineering approach — compressing an FRC plasma using a metal liner or plasma jets to achieve fusion conditions. CFR (Compact Fusion Reactor) is the end product — a reactor design small enough for mobile platforms, based on FRC/MTF physics. They represent a pipeline: FRC is the science, MTF is the method, CFR is the machine.

The 1983 paper titled 'Adiabatic compression of elongated field-reversed configurations' is considered the foundational doctrinal text for the current Skunk Works Compact Fusion Reactor (CFR). It establishes the specific scaling laws, known as the 'Spencer Scaling Law,' which Lockheed Martin utilizes to justify the feasibility of a high-beta, compact fusion source for both power and propulsion.
